Zilhajj moon not sighted, Eidul Azha on September 2

The Zilhajj moon was not sighted on Tuesday, and Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated across the country on September 2.

Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Mufti Muneebur Rehman announced the decision in a press conference in Islamabad, saying the committee did not receive any evidence of moon sighting,

“Therefore the country would celebrate Eidul Azha on September 2, Saturday,” he said.

Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court announced on Monday that the Zilhaj moon was not sighted in the country, with Eidul Azha to be celebrated in Gulf countries on September 1.
