Zardari sees future politics sans Sharif family

Asif Ali Zardari, co-chairman of PPP, has said that we never support Nawaz Sharif rather supported democracy and will keep supporting it.

Addressing a press conference at Bilawal House, Lahore, he said, “Some people have this misperception that I supported Nawaz.”

The method of Nawaz Sharif’s governance was not political. We did not expect any kind of getting relief from the Nawaz League. When I was in America, I had contacts with Nawaz Sharif but the true relations are those in which one should stay in touch with other.

“I am not seeing the Sharif family in future politics. There is no last thing in politics.”

There was no political prisoner during my tenure. We are not mulling of joining hands with any other political party. Benazir Bhutto started politics at the age of 22 but today, non-political persons are in the politics.

Zardari said all the vehicles in Nawaz Sharif’s rally on GT Road, from Islamabad to Lahore, were BMW. There were 20,000 police personnel deployed on the security of Nawaz Sharif’s rally.

On the occasion, Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has said that his party will not give any relief to Nawaz Sharif. We are with the democracy and will not support the Sharif family. “Nation knows that Nawaz Sharif is not innocent. Supreme Court has disqualified him. I will reach out to the public in every nook and corner of the country to propagate the ideology of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto,” he added.
