Karachi : Pakistan Chief of Army Staff General (COAS) general Raheel Sharif has said that he will leave no stone unturned in catching the offenders.
He said this while visiting Karachi to review the law and order situation of the city. It has been reported that the COAS visited the Rangers Headquarters where he was told about Karachi’s law and order situation. He was told about the situation after the demise of Amjad Sabri, kidnapping of son of chief justice and continued Karachi operation while briefing in Rangers Headquarters.
Moreover, according to the statement of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS has lauded the services of Sindh Rangers due to which law and order situation has been improved. The chief of army staff has asserted that not even the culprits will be hanged to death but their helpers would also be caught very soon. “We are looking for their sources of aid and they are being watched”, General Raheel Sharif said.
On the other hand, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan also reached Karachi and headed to residence of Sindh High Court chief justice Syed Sajjad Ali Shah. According of the sources, the interior minister gave him assurance for the recovery of his son. Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat ul Ibaad and PML-N leaders were with him. Furthermore, the law and order situation of Karachi after the two major incidents were also discussed in a separate meeting held between Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan and Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat ul Ibaad. According to the sources of government, the governor informed the interior minister with the situation of target killing, terrorism, kidnapping and continued operation in Karachi.
In this session, it was decided that operation will be continued until last terror threat has been eliminated. Additionally, it was agreed that preservation of law and order situation was absolutely necessary for the betterment of the country.
