Phobias are distressing and occur when you least expect to and it seems like human beings can get scared of almost anything in this world.   2. Nomophobia: Fear of being without mobile phones

    This little gadget is pretty important to all of us and let us admit that we all do get a mini heart attack when we don’t feel it in our pockets, however, some people might actually pull it over the extreme. Nomophobia is such kind of fear of being without a mobile phone, phone battery or network coverage.

  3. Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia: Fear of long words

    Yes, this is also a fear that actually exists, but let’s hope that you do not have this fear if you plan on going to a spelling championship. Ironically, the name of this phobia should be on the top of the list of the longest words.

  4. Euphobia: Fear of Good News 

    We all know that people dread good news, but there are people who also dread good news! This is like repulsion to happiness.

  5. Descendophobia: Fear of descending downstairs 

    For people who have descendophobia, walking down stairs or inclines can be a horrifying experience and many times they may get dizzy as well. On the other hand, you could also have ascendophobia – fear of moving upwards. 

  6. Ephebiphobia: Fear of youth. 

    Fear or loathing of teenagers and adolescents is also an actual phobia, today it is recognized as the “inaccurate, exaggerated and sensational characterization of young people” in a range of settings around the world.

  7. Athazagoraphobia: Fear of being forgotten or forgetting. 

    A study has found that having some experience with amnesia, or knowing someone who has endured amnesia, can trigger this fear.

  8. Frigophobia: Fear of being cold. 

    Sufferers of this problem bundle up in heavy clothes and blankets, regardless of the ambient air temperature.

  9. Deipnophobia: Fear of dining.

    This is particularly the fear of dinner parties. So if you are an extremely anti-social person and suffer from headaches or weird sensations during dinner parties, you might have a case of deinophobia

  10.  Phobophobia: Fear of Phobias. 

    Yes! This too is a phobia; having a phobia of fear.
