Waqar Younis may have failed to save his position as coach of Pakistan after terrible performance of Pakistan, but it seems that cricket board is finally appointing the people as he requested before and sang the people Waqar wanted.
Pakistan’s disastrous performance in World Twenty20 campaign was the reason behind the resignation of Waqar and captain Shahid Afridi from their posts while the selection committee was also disbanded by PCB.
And in the latest development, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has approached batting great Inzamam-ul-Haq to head the selection committee. It is a move which has been hailed by Waqar, for it was part of the long list of recommendations he made to improve the game in the country following the 2015 World Cup.
Inzamam, who played 120 Tests and 378 one-day international during an illustrious career, demanded a change in Pakistan s attitude.
And on Friday, Waqar Younis praised the decision of PCB appointing Inzamam as the selector of Pakistan team through Twitter.
“Hearing Inzamam coming as chief selector. V good news. Glad PCB is now listening to my 2015 recommendations. #BetterLateThanNever,” Waqar said.

Inzamam, who is on a two-year contract with Afghanistan which ends in 2017, is believed to be considering the offer, but it is unclear he would sever his deal with the team which displayed great promise at the 2016 World T20.
Some reports are coming that PCB is appointing Rashid Latif the post of chief selector Inzamam could also be offered the position of coach.
“Bad decision to consider an interim coach. Still have plenty of time b4 Eng Tour. Need vision for future planning #PlanAhead,” Waqar tweeted.
