The United States embassy in Afghanistan had issued an emergency warning to the citizens of the United States on Monday.
It stated that the US embassy in Afghanistan had received reports that the insurgents are preparing the attacks targeting the Star Hotel in Kabul.
“In response to this potential threat, the United States Embassy Kabul is advising the American citizens to avoid the Star Hotel & to remain vigilant when visiting hotels in Kabul, especially during large gatherings,” said the embassy on Twitter.
The warnings follow at least 2 rockets attacks in diplomatic zone of Kabul on Saturday just hours after John Kerry, the United States Secretary of State held meetings with the Afghan Govt. leaders in capital.
The Taliban has marched up its revolt since most the foreign troops withdrew from Afghanistan at the end of 2014, though Kabul has enjoyed a period of relative tranquil during the harsh winter months.
