Two FC men martyred, six militants killed in cross-border firing

Earlier on Friday morning, two Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel got martyred as militants attacked a check post in Khyber Agency.

There are reports of death of six militants too in the exchange of fire as FC troops “effectively responded.”

Terrorists from across the Pakistan border attempted a physical attack on FC Post in Khyber Agency. Pakistani troops effectively responded. Six terrorists were killed. In exchange of fire, two FC soldiers also martyred,” the military’s media wing Inter Services Public Relations said.

The Speena Sooka check post manned by FC personnel in Tor Mor, Lwee Shalman area of Khyber Agency was attacked from the Afghan side, according to officials.

A faction of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan Jamaatul Ahrar claimed responsibility for the attack, further stating 110 of their fighters took part in the attack.
