TIP demands action against corruption in SECP

ISLAMABAD December 4 (Online): International anti-corruption watchdog Transparency International Pakistan (TIP) has asked for action against Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) on mega corruption in the light of investigations done by the NAB and Panama Joint Investigation recommendations.
Transparency International Pakistan (TIP) Trustee, Justice (retd) Ghous Muhammad has written a letter to SECP Chairman Khalid Mirza, in which it was clarified a number of cases of corruption against acting Chairman SECP Tahir Mehmood were received.
Among these cases financial losses to EOBI, making assets more than income and delay in action on Panama JIT recommendations included.
TIP has provided all the proofs and reports to the SECP Chairman policy board, and recommended for exemplary punishment against corruption as per the vision of Prime Mininister Imran Khan.
After receiving the letter on Nov 29, Chairman Policy board has called the meeting of board, the copies of the letter were also sent to Prime Minister, Chairman PMIC, CJP and others.
