Three police officers injured during firing in Lahore

Lahore: Three police officer were injured on Tuesday morning in drive-by shooting incident in provincial capital, two of them are in critical condition.

According to police, the incident took place near Lady Wellingdon Hospital in Lahore in which three police personnel received injuries as unidentified persons opened firing. Assailants, however, managed to flee after attacking them.

The injured police officers were shifted to Mayo Hospital, Lahore for medical assistance.

The three, Afzal, Rizwan and Zafar were posted at Ghaziabad CIA station.

Police further said that the officials were dressed in plain clothes, were off duty and returning home when they were targeted.

A number of police officials arrived at Mayo Hospital and at incident place. The two wounded officers are said to be in critical condition.
