Islamabad: The Supreme Court on Monday has declared all exams conducted by Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) from 2013-2016 null and void.
The court gave the verdict while hearing suo motu case relating to the SPSC exams. It was also said that candidates who appeared in exams during this period will have to retake examinations.
More than 27,000 candidates had appeared in exams conducted by the body within this period, i.e 2013-2016. Of these, 664 candidates cleared the written exam while 227 had succeeded in both the written exam and interview.
However, the Supreme Court has said that only those will appear in exams who had cleared screening test. There were 2813 candidates who passed screening test conducted by SPSC from 2013 to 2016.
