The enormously popular & acclaimed musician Prince had died at his home located in Minnesota at the age of 57, said his publicist.
According to the report by the US media, on Thursday, the Police was called to medical emergency at his Paisley Park estate. An investigation still is underway.
Prince became a worldwide superstar in 1980s, with his albums like Purple Rain, 1999 and Sign O’ the Times.
He sold over 100 million records during his career.
Prince Rogers Nelson was born in 1958 and he was a prolific writer & a performer from a very young age.
A singer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist and the songwriter, Prince had recorded over 30 albums. His best known hits include When Doves Cry and Let’s Go Crazy.
He also built a status for secrecy & eccentricity, once varying his name to an unpronounceable symbol.
In 2004, Prince was inducted into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame that said he “rewrote the rulebook”.
Last week Price was rushed to a hospital hours after performing on stage, but he was soon released.
The Tributes have been pouring in on the social media, while his fans have been gathering at the Paisley Park.
Katy Perry, the popstar said, “the world lost a lot of magic.’’ The Chic guitarist Nile Rogers had said that there were “tears & love on our tour bus”
Director Spike Lee said, “I Miss My Brother. Prince Was A Funny Cat. Great Sense of Humour.”
