Sindh cabinet lifts ban on government jobs
Karachi: Sindh Minister for Information Maula Bakhsh Chandio has said that Sindh cabinet, headed by Chief Minster (CM) Sayyed Murad Ali Shah, has lifted the ban on government jobs.
He said this while talking to media persons here on Saturday. The Sindh information minister said that that removing the people from their posts is not the policy of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
He informed that it has been ordered by the Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah to fill the vacated posts in government departments within one month.
Chandio added that whole the procedure of recruitment would be done according to the merit for filling the vacant posts in the government institutions.
Chandio asserted that quota system would also be considered while recruiting the staff.
He went on to say that the Urdu-speaking doctors were given jobs in the Sindh government hospitals.
The Sindh cabinet has ordered the marriage hall owners to close their marriages halls before 10pm otherwise they would face strict action, he warned.
Additionally, the Sindh cabinet has also passed a bill for Live Stock department, he maintained. Maula Bakhsh Chandio went on to say that smoking at public places, has also been prohibited in the Sindh province.
