Newly-appointed Minister for Railways, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, on Monday, promised to work hard for the improvement of the portfolio entrusted in him.
Throughout his visit to the ministry in Islamabad, he said dishonesty will be eradicated in the ministry at all levels.
Rashid claimed that the railways are facing the debt of millions of rupees and he will try to bring the high ratio of those debts down.
The 20-member cabinet of Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken the oath at the President House on Monday. President Mamnoon Hussain administered the oath-taking ceremony to the federal cabinet. Prime Minister, Imran Khan, also graced the occasion.
The federal cabinet encompasses 20 members of which 15 are ministers while five others discharge their duties as advisers to the premier.
Sheikh Rasheed, who leads the Awami Muslim League (AML), was given the same portfolio earlier as the railway minister under the Musharraf regime.
