Rawalpindi: Number of terrorists were arrested on Thursday by police, rangers and other law enforcement agencies during operations under Radd-ul-Fasaad, military media wing Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) reported.
Police and Rangers apprehended two suspects and also recovered a huge cache of weapons from them. Arms were concealed underground.
During a tip-off operation in Hasan Abdal Attock, six millitants were detained by the police. Security personnel also seized arms during the raid.
Intelligence personnel and police conducted joint operation in Raees Goth Karachi and recovered a big cache of arms and ammunition during the raid. The operation is claimed to be done at hideout of notorious Baba Ladla group which is involved in several criminal activities and target killings.
Police conducted search operation in Jalapur Jattan tehsil of Gujrat and arrested four individuals belonging to a terrorist gang. Investigations are underway from the apprehended persons.
Pak army arrested three in Chichawatni, Sahiwal and also recovered huge cache of weapons from them which was ultimately to be used in criminal and sabotage activities.
Police personnel also claimed to arrest over thirty proclaimed offenders from Vehari district.
Pakistan Army had launched country-wide operation Raddul Fasaad against militants in the end of February. Thousands have been arrested while several have been killed in this operation.
The operation was announced after the emergence of wave of terrorism during last month which killed over 130 innocents. The operation was aimed to carry out counter terrorism activities all across Pakistan and to target hideouts of militants.
