Rawalpindi: Frontier Constabulary (FC) along with intelligence agencies on Friday conducted operations in different areas of Balochistan and arrested five suspects including Afghan nationals. Large amount of explosive material also recovered, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
During operation the forces apprehended three suspected Afghan nationals from Sariab area in the outskirts of Quetta.
Agencies seized two other suspects from from Muslim Bagh area. Security personnel also recovered 136 kilogram of explosives, 3256 detonators and 10680 detonating cords from the area.
Earlier today, forces killed several terrorists during tip-off based operation in Rajgal valley of Khyber Agency on Thursday night.
Early morning on Friday, two officials of the Frontier Constabulary embraced martyrdom in an attempted terrorist attack on FC check-post in Khyber Agency. Six terrorists were killed in counter fire by FC personnel.
Another terrorist attack was also foiled at an FC training centre in Charsadda earlier today. One FC was martyred and one received injuries when suicide bombers attacked on FC training centre located in Shabqadar, Charsadda tehsil. FC officials in retaliatory fire killed two suicide bombers foiling their suicide attacking bid.
