Security forces detain over forty during search operation in Punjab


Lahore: Rangers and police arrested over forty suspects during search operation in Punjab as part of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad. 

The crackdown was done across various cities of the province including Lahore, Hafizabad, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Attock, Chiniot, Hyderabad and Thal.

From Hafizabad, security officials detained at least three and also recovered weapons from suspects. During search operation at Hyderabad Thal, Bhakkar, 23 accused were taken into custody.

During a joint search operation of police and Elite forces in Chiniot, five were arrested and arms also recovered.

Police also carried out house to house search in various areas of Lahore including Naulakha, Ravi Road and Anarkali and checked identity documents; police detained at least 15 suspects who failed to produce identity documents.

Among the suspects, some also belong to banned outfits, as claimed by security personnel.
