The Islamabad administration, Thursday (today) decided to impose Section 144 for two months in the federal capital where Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is going to execute its lockdown plan.
According to report, Islamabad Deputy Commissioner issued a notification of the Section-144 that will remain enforced for 60 days.
Under the law, the gathering of five or more than five people will not be allowed in the Islamabad district for two months.
The decision came as both PTI and the government prepared for Nov 2 lockdown plan.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan has called on his party workers to lay siege to Islamabad on Nov 2 until Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif resigns or presents himself for accountability in the backdrop of the Panama Papers leaks.
