ISLAMABAD, October 03 (Online): Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has confirmed that National Security Advisors of India and Pakistan have made contact after recent tension on the Line of Control (LoC).
Sartaj Aziz said that Lieutenant General (retd) Nasir Khan Janjua and Ajit Doval had agreed for easing of tensions on LoC. India wants to divert world’s attention from Occupied Kashmir by escalating tensions on LoC, he added.
He said Pakistan wants that tension is de-escalated on LoC and focus is placed on Kashmir issue .
He said that Nawaz Sharif had made it clear to world leaders earlier that incidents of border tensions would continue between both countries unless Kashmir issue was addressed. He said that All Parties Conference was aimed at evolving consensus strategy on Kashmir issue.
