Religious minister calls on PM Imran, briefs on security situation

Islamabad, November 06 (Online):  Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Anwarul Haq called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at Prime Minister Secretariat on Tuesday. 

Information Minister Fawad Ahmed Chaudhry was also present in the meeting, sources said.
The religious minister briefed Imran Khan on the current security situation in the country. Prime Minister Khan, during the meeting, said he will personally be in regular contact with religious scholars and Ulema to get their advice on religious matters.
The prime minister also expressed his desire to raise soft image of the country in the world. He said transfer of information regarding Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his life (Seerat) to the coming generations is state responsibility.  The PM said in this regard religious scholars and Ulema’s help will be crucial as he wanted the state like the state of Madina.
Next 12 Rabiul Awal will be celebrated with religious zeal and directions in this regard have been given to all provincial governments.
The prime minister was informed that Pakistan will organize an international Seerat Conference in Islamabad. Imam-e-Kaba, Jamat-ul-Azhar vice chancellor, Muftis from Sham, Iraq and Tunis will throw light on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his seerat.
Research on the life of Prophet (PBUH) will be conducted under the government’s supervision.  The campaign to bring interfaith harmony will be enhanced in the future, he said.
