Rangers foil terror bid, recover huge cache of weapons, Karachi

Karachi: The paramilitary forces seized huge cache of weapons during an intellegence based operation in Safari Park Karachi, spokesperson of Sindh Rangers informed early Tuesday.

According to spokesperson, weapons were recovered from the storeroom of the park which is located at University Road, Karachi.

Rangers took security guard of the park into custody for interrogation purposes. They also seized large cache of arms which were intended to be used in various terrorist and criminal activities.

Among the weapons found at the site were rifles, submachine guns (SMGs), light machine guns (LMGs), anti-aircraft guns, snipers and hand grenades. A huge quantity of different types of bullets and cartridges were also recovered from the location.

Orangi Town Operation:

Police also had encounter in Oragi Town Karachi and allegedly gunned down one dacoit. However, two of his accomplices managed to flee from the spot.

The operation was observed in Iqbal market of Orangi Town.
