Karachi: Rain killed three people in Karachi on Friday, reported by rescue sources that rain related incidents swallowed the life of 3 people in different areas of Karachi including Nazimabad and Korangi.
Rainfall occurred in Karachi after a long wait, which resulted in accidents, slippery and flood roads, high traffic jam, power breakdown and water supply problems. In North Nazimabad rainfall rate is recorded as 25 mm, in Masroor it is 42 mm and 12 mm is recorded in Gulistan-e-Johar.
Heavy traffic jams were observed on Shahrah-e-Faisal and other roads which created difficulties to reach citizens in time at their destinations. First shower of rain became curse for citizens, resulting in tripping of feeders which resulted in great disruption in power supply to many areas including Machar colony, Nazimabad, landhi and Sarjani.
Rain, thunderstorm, and snowfall are observed in many areas of the country including Ziarat, Fort Manro, Multan, Muzaffar Garh and Bhakkar. Rain is also expected in Gilgit Baltistan and Lahore today with snow fall in Murree. The temperature of the country decreased and all areas are facing the severity of winter which caused problems of traffic jams and power supply failure.
