Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) have detained 42 persons from different areas of the country under the on-going operation Rad-ul-Fassad.
Search operations were conducted in Narowal, Bhakar and Hangu, from where security personals recovered heavy amount of arms and ammunition.
Several houses were searched during the door to door search operation in Narowal. LEAs personnel also seized weapons from a suspected person in the area of Sanigal of tehsil Zafarwal.
During the search operation in District Bhakar 19 suspects were arrested from areas of Hyderrabad Thal and Bahal. During the operation weapons were also seized from two suspects.
10 wanted criminals and 22 suspects were arrested during these operations. Heavy weapons and illegal substances were also recovered from the accused persons.
Law Enforcement Agencies officials also raided 13 houses and 10 hotels and recovered four pistols, one rifle and 1351 grams of hashish drug.
The initiative of operation Rad-ul-Fassad was taken by the Army Chief Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa to counter terrorism activities in the state, after the wave of terrorism during the February. Over hundred innocent people were killed in those attacks.
Army Chief had announced the country-wide search and combat operations to remove the terrorists from the states. ‘Durand Line’ was also sealed by the government to control terrorism.
Hundreds of the suspects were detained from all around the country and large amount of arms and ammunition were also recovered under this operation.
