By Maryam Iraj

Quetta is hit by the third suicide blast near the airport road. Five police officers martyred in the attack and many sustained fatal injuries.

The attack was targeted at the police van, and VIP movement was reported on this road around the same time.

In the earlier two blasts minutes ago, two security personnel were martyred while eight others sustained injuries in two suicide explosions near a Frontier Corps (FC) camp in the provincial capital’s Mian Gundi.

According to reports, one of the suicide-bombers fired at the gate of FC 64 Camp. As personnel of the security forces acquired positions to respond back to the attack, the bomber blew himself up.

Another suicide attack was followed as the security personnel approached the dead suicide-bomber near the camp’s gate.

Soon after the blast, the FC cordoned off the entire area.

But the third-bomber who escaped blew himself up minutes later near the police van, leaving five dead and many injured.
