PTI’s Arif Alwi, Imran Ismael released after short arrest
Islamabad: The PTI leaders Arif Alwi and Imran Ismael have been released after Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan took notice and ordered their release on immediate basis.
Earlier, the PTI leaders were held about half an ago when they hold a sit-in on Ring Road.
According to the sources, both the PTI leaders were arrested because they were trying to enter Islamabad and when they were stopped, they staged a protest and sit-in at the Ring Road.
They were picked up by the police and put them in police van and the police wanted to take them to police station.
Later, when the interior minister came to know that PTI leaders have been held, he took notice and ordered the police to release them on immediate basis.
It is pertinent to mention here that in a press conference made by the interior minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan that no arrest would be held during Section 144 in Islamabad.
But it has been noticed here that police have arrested and then released the renowned PTI leaders.
