PTI files petition in SC against PM, his family members on Panama leaks issue

ISLAMABAD, August 29 (Online): PTA has filed petition in Supreme Court (SC) on Panama leaks making Prime Minister (PM) and his family members as respondents.

According to petition Panama leaks is a matter of national and public interest. The properties are held by Maryam Nawaz and Hussain but why these have not been declared in assets? PM showed Maryam and Hussain Nawaz as dependents in 2013 general elections.

The documents regarding property of Nawaz Sharif are also attached. PM Nawaz Sharif purchased property in London during 1993 and 1996. PM said in the house that property was purchased in 2005.

The interior secretary, law secretary and chairman NAB be ordered to bring back the looted money to Pakistan. The name of Nawaz Sharif and his family be placed in ECL. The investigation into Panama leaks be carried out.

PTI also took the plea that there is contradiction in the statements of PM and his family members on off shore companies issue. Chairman NAB be ordered to bring back plundered money stashed in off shore accounts.

Interior secretary, law secretary, NAB and ministry of law have been made respondents.

Counsel for PTI and leader Naeem ul Haq said while talking to the media men outside the SC that petition has been filed in apex court seeking disqualification of PM, Capt (Retd) Safdar and Ishaq.
