Delivering your all while playing a role of a psychopath is like walking on a thin spread where a single misjudged-step can take you down as you again have to start from the scratch. There are very few movie stars in Bollywood who played the role of a psychopaths and made their producers rich. Let’s talk about those movie stars who took this risk and made their role memorable.
1. Shahrukh Khan as Rahul Mehta in ” Dar “
The King Khan plays the role of an antagonist in this movie who loves a girl and hides his identity simultaneously. His love leads her towards madness. The deafening shout of King Khan in this movie is still used in some ads and in award-ceremonies to pay tribute to SRK.
2. Kajol in ” Gupt “
Gupt movie boosted the career of Kajol as a vamp. She played the negative role so perfectly that viewers were spellbound bound to hate this dusky damsel. She is scheduled to play the role of a vamp after twenty years in her upcoming Tamil film, VIP, with Dhanush.
Here is the translated version of the trailor, VIP.
3. Riteish Deshmukh in ” Ek Villian “
This movie Riteish is revealing his grey shades. This young man is mostly seen in playing comedy roles but in this movie he showed his darker side.
4. Nawazuddin Siddiqui in ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’
If we say that there is not any role which a Nawazuddin Siddiqui could not play then that would not be wrong, but in this movie he acted like he was made for this role.
5. Ashutosh Rana in ‘Sangarsh’ and “Dushman”
This is the movie which gave me nightmares in my childhood. I had sleepless nights because of this role of Ashutosh Rana. I still remember his terrifying dialogue delivery of ” Main Insaan nahi hun. ”
Asotosh Rana’s another memorable character is Dushman’s sociopath, Gokul Pandit, who murdered the heroine. It was Rana’s first movie leaving the indelible mark on his audiences.
When we talk about acting on screen, then we have to be that character forgetting even about our real name, and I can say this because these people are really not those what they showed themselves on screen. That was the real power of their acting which made audience to think about them for decades to come.
