PPP to form federal government in next elections, claims Zardari

Lahore: Former President and co-chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari claimed that his party would win next elections to form the federal government, not only this, it would also win from Punjab province.

While addressing the public on an event on Pakistan Day he said that Bilawal would be the next prime minister of Pakistan. Zardari said, he was the first who raised the slogan of “Pakistan Khappay.”

He stated love for Pakistan was his first priority, adding, leaders of today can protect the generation of tomorrow.

He said that when he apologised from Balochs, he faced severe criticism, adding, the same happened when he renamed Khyber pakhtunkhwa (KPK).

Zardari also talked about his deceased wife, saying Benazir Bhutto stood-up against the dictatorship of General Zia ul Haq for the sake of democracy. He also appreciated the role of Nusrat Bhutto in struggle against dictators.

Zardari said Returning Officer (RO) elections were also being accepted by him and his party thought they were not acceptable.

Former president severely criticized the present government and described them as arrogant. He added, the present government was not thinking about labourers and farmers.

Zaradri stated that the country cannot make progress just due to the construction of roads and motorways.
