PPP to announce long march against govt on 27th December: Kaira
Multan: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader Qamaruz Zaman Kaira has said that PPP would announce a long march against the federal government if their demands are not accepted by the federal government.
He added that the federal government still has time to accept the demands of opposition parties regarding Panama Papers probe. He said otherwise government would have to face critical consequences.
Moreover, he said that PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has laid down four demands to the government which are acceptable by the government.
“The federal government should accept our demands for the sake of integrity of national unity”, he maintained.
He seconded the four demands of Bilawal as appointment of a foreign minister on immediate basis and Panama Bill tabled by PPP in Senate should be approved.
The other two demands were acceptance of Asif Ali Zardari’s suggestions on China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the national security committee of parliamentarians should be reconstituted.
Kaira further said that the accountability process should start with the investigation of the Panama Papers. He stated that the PPP wants the judicial system to be empowered.
“We don’t say to empower us regarding the authority of investigation of Panama Papers”, he added.
While talking about terrorism, Kaira said that terrorism has affected PPP the most and they are still standing against terrorism like a wall.
