PPP to launch anti-government campaign from May 4: Kaira

LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Central Punjab president Qamar Zaman Kaira on Monday has announced to launch an anti-government campaign from May 4.

While addressing at the event held to commemorate Labour Day, Kaira said his party would organize a camp outside Minar-e-Pakistan on May 4 aimed to bring down the government.

He said that the party would announce its future plan after settling the camp. “If Shehbaz Sharif can put up a camp then why not us?” said Kaira.

He pledged that the PPP campaign would force the government to smash. He criticized the current government, PPP leader said that government comes up with another drama after another.

He also said that the party had rejected the Dawn Leaks report and he also sought permission from the leadership to take the scandal to the court.

“For how much long they would burn their records of theft?” he remarked.

He also said that only Tariq Fatemi was not only involved in Dawn scandal, but the government had hidden many other prominent names.

The former federal mister said that whenever government’s embezzlements were being caught, the records were putted on fire.
