In 1998, Salman Khan has been convicted for the killing of two blackbucks, an endangered specie, during the shooting of ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’, Jodhpur, Rahjistan.
Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelum, and Sonali Bendre Behl, his co-stars in the movie, when done with shooting went out to enjoy the wild life and for hunting. Nobody among them had the wildest idea that one of them would be jailed under poaching charges after 20 years. According to an eyewitness of that day, “the women were equally responsible for the crime which took place 20 years back.
Following the Jodhpur court decision for Bollywood superstar, Salman Khan, of 5-year jail term in the blackbucks’ poaching case, Khan is all set to submit its 51-pager argument in defense of the charges under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act. His co-stars and co-accused Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre, who had accompanied the actor that evening, were also acquitted by CJM, Dev Kumar Khatri.
After medical examination, Khan was lodged in barrack number 2, which is close to the dispensary and next to the cell of self-styled spiritual leader and rape-accused, Asaram Bapu. Salman Khan, now, spends his time in Jodhpur Central jail as prisoner number 106, and was served simple dal-roti which he refused to eat.
Here is Salman telling his side of the story.
There are multiple versions to the story but the most famous ones are those which hold Tabu responsible instead of Salman Khan for the poaching of blackbuck. According to the eyewitness, “it was Sonali and Tabu who provoked Salman to pull the trigger”. But the most explosive of the statements comes from the veteran actress and anchorperson, Semi Garewal, who told the media in press conference and on social media as well that it could be anyone but Salman who committed this act. He is famous for owning pets and keeping them in top-notch shape. It is highly unlikely of him that he falls for such an act. May be he has been carrying the cross for somebody else’s sin.
