PM visits Jinnah Hospital, vows to root out terrorism

Lahore (Online): Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on visited the Jinnah Hospital to inquire after the health of the people who were injured in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park suicide bombing.

The prime minister, who was Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and other officials, vowed that tragetted operations and operation Zarb-e-Azb will continue till the elimination of the last terrorist and their facilitators.

Nawaz said that the entire nation has to face the scourge of terrorism with determination.  “We will not rest unless the terrorists are eliminated. The government, the army and all law enforcement agencies have been striving to stamp out the scourge,” he said.

“Terrorists have targeted our sons, daughters, sisters and brothers and the entire nation has to counter the ménage together,” the premier said noting that the terrorists were playing cowardly acts foreseeing their perdition. “The country needs unity. We will bring the terrorists to justice at all costs,” he said.

Earlier, an important meeting on the law and order and security situation was held under the chair of the prime minister.

The prime minister directed the provinvial government and the law enforcement agencies to inform the federal government and the Prime Minister Secretariat about the progress made in the investigation of the suicide blast.

Earlier, Shahbaz Sharif visited Sheikh Zaid Hospital donated blood. He inquired about the health of the injured and appealed to the nation to donate blood.
