PM Nawaz taunted by Talibaan faction on Lahore blast

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was taunted by the militants who bombed Lahore Park on Easter killing 70 people announcing that their war had come to his doorstep.

Jamaat-ur-Ahrar, an independent faction of the Taliban which and also beforehand declared loyalty to Islamic State, has carried out five major attacks in Pakistan since December.

“Let Nawaz Sharif know that this war has now come to the threshold of his home,” tweeted Jamaat-ur-Ahrar spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan. “The winners of this war will, God willing, be the righteous mujahideen.”

Prime Minister, during his address to the nation, had called for more proactive coordination among the law enforcement and intelligence agencies to overthrow the evil designs of terrorists.

The prime minister urged the provinces to speed up intelligence-based operations against terrorists, saying that we must take this war to the doors of terrorist outfits before they are able to hit our innocent country men.

He stated that their goal was not only to remove terror infrastructure but also the extremist mindset which is threat to way of life.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had said that the extremist mindset has to be eliminated which is a threat to our way of life.

Pakistan Army on Monday had decided to launch a full-fledged operation against terrorists in Punjab.

“The PM ordered a joint operation of ‎the counterterrorism department and Rangers in the border areas of Punjab against terrorists and their facilitators,” said one government official who attended a meeting with Sharif and Punjab officials

The government also announced that Sharif would be cancelling a planned trip to the United States to attend the Nuclear Security Summit
