Islamabad: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif decided to send security team to India before National Cricket Team (NCT) leaves to participate in World T-20 championship planned to be held in India.
According to details, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan expressed his concerns with PM over security concerns on the planned visit of NCT to India and other linked matters were also discussed.
According to sources, Chaudhry Nisar briefed the PM during the meeting regarding security concerns of NCT and other related information.
It was decided that security team should be sent to India to review all the security measures and it would present its report.
The decision to send NCT to India would be made in the light of report of security team. So PM has also directed to remain in touch with Indian High Commission continuously and to review all the measures initiated in this regard.
Nawaz Sharif also took notice of the defeat of NCT from India and Bangladesh in Asia Cup and demanded a report from Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in this regard.
