ISLAMABAD: The Ministry for Information and Broadcasting has paid Rs 3.5 million to various journalists for composing articles in backing of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and a review has announced these installments illicit. As per the review report 2016, the Press Information Department (PID) important officer paid diverse essayists to distribute articles for the legislature. The aggregate sum paid to these writers was Rs 3.5 million, which was paid from the national exchequer.
The report additionally expressed that Rs 4.2 million was paid to journalists for composing PM’s talks.
As indicated by reports, Rs 80,000 were paid to Ali Akbar Abbas and Rs 100,000 were paid to Talha Mehmood, while Khawaja Naveed Aslam is being paid Rs 100,000 month to month. The report expresses that the PID spent Rs 3.2 million on booking spaces for the said writers in various inns. These costs have been pronounced illicit.
