Islamabad: The name of Pakistan International Airlines’ Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bernd Hildenbrand has been put on the Exit Control List (ECL), media sources informed.
According to sources, an inquiry against Hildenbrand is underway for purchasing aircrafts from a Sri Lankan airline at exorbitant prices. It is alleged that Pakistan’s national airline lost millions of dollars as a result of the deal.
Deputy Director Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Admin Lahore, Khawaja Hammad ur Rehman issued notification on Wednesday. Copies of the notification have been posted on all major airports of Pakistan mentioning that CEO Bernd Hildenbrand should not be allowed to depart from the country.
