Panic of 2nd November: Arrests on the rise in Punjab
Lahore: Punjab administration has prepared a list of Pakistan Tehreek-e Insaf (PTI) leaders and workers and has ordered the DPOs of each district to arrest them in order to limit their sit-in, the media has reported.
As many as names of 94 PTI leaders have been mentioned in the list including chief Imran Khan, Jahangir Treen Khan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Asad Umar.
Moreover, the addresses of the leaders’ residences have also been mentioned in the list.
The media has reported that the Punjab police have started raiding and arresting PTI workers and as many as 72 workers have been arrested from across the province.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Punjab government has imposed Section 144 in the province from 30 October to 8th November.
Meanwhile, the leaders of PML-Q have also been arrested from many cities including Gujrat and Lahore.
Moreover, the police are arresting the PTI workers on the allegations that they are accumulating the people and urging them for attending sit-in going to be held at Islamabad.
The arrests are being made in major cities such as Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Gujrat, Okara, Chakwal, Muzaffargarh, Raheem Yar Khan, Vehari and Bahawalnagar.
