Panama Leaks Case: Decision expected next week
Islamabad: The draft regarding the Panama Leaks Case decision has been finalized and the decision is expected to be announced until next Friday, media sources informed.
Sources told that apex court has thoroughly checked and read all documentations and argumentation and finally wrote a decision of the case. The verdict will be given in upcoming week.
The five-member apex bench of the Supreme Court was hearing set of petitions filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jamat-e-Islami (JI) and Awami Muslim League (AML), seeking disqualification of Prime minister; the bench was presided by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa.
Other member of the bench were Justice Aijaz Afzal, Justice Azmat Saeed Sheikh, Justice Gulzar Ahmad and Justice Ijazul Ahsan. The apex bench heard the case for twenty-five days and chatted that its decision would be announced at the right time.
About the court’s decision various politicians and analysts gave different points of view. But the main opposition party’s co-chairman Asif Ali Zarddari and the leader Aitazaz Ahsan had stated that the decison would be in favor of Muslim League Nawaz’s leader who is also the current Prime Minister of the state.
However, one does not have to wait long as the verdict is expected to be announced within next seven days.
