Pakistan has successfully conducted a light test of recently developed Air Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM) “Ra’ad” on Tuesday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported.
The Ra’ad ALCM has a range of at least 350 kilometers which would allow Pakistan to get air-delivered crucial deadlock capability on land as well as at sea, with highly progressive guidance and navigation system that assures strong accuracy.
President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif congratulated the scientists as well as engineers over their remarkable achievement on the successful flight test of missile.
Director General Strategic Plan Division Lieutenant General Mazhar Jamil termed the test as a major advancement towards the accomplishment of defence capability and congratulated the inventors’ team on achieving a milestone that would have significant and historical value.
He also added, “Achievement of this milestone will surely enhance strategic stability and contribute to peace in the region”. Lt Gen Jamil also shared his confidence in the training principles and operational readiness of the strategic forces.
