Sea King helicopters added to Pakistan Navy’s arsenal

Pakistan Navy has received its multi-role Sea King helicopters from the UK. A total number of helicopters are seven . The High Commission of Pakistan attended a ceremony in the UK where the helicopters were officially handed over to Pakistan.

The UK, Ministry of Defence, Christopher Bob and Pakistan’s Syed Ibne Abbas attended the ceremony on the 24 of May.

It is said that the helicopters will undergo a maintenance service by the Vector Aerospace before they are shipped to Pakistan. They are expected to arrive later this year.

The defense magazine which reports on intelligence on the global military, quoted “The high commissioner lauded the historic relationship between the armed forces of Pakistan and the UK.” Furthermore, it remarked that the UK has played a vital role in the upgrading the arsenal of Pakistan army.
