Veteran Bollywood performing artist Geeta Kapoor, who shot into the spotlight for her part in the exemplary film Pakeezah, inhaled her toward the end in a Mumbai old age home on Saturday morning.
She was 67 and had been living in the old age home after she was allegedly surrendered by her son and daughter a year ago.
Geeta got her acclaim for her part in the exemplary film “Pakeezah”, she acted in around 100 movies, in supporting parts and additionally unmistakable ones, for example, in Kamal Amrohi’s “Pakeezah” and “Razia Sultan”.
In a philanthropic motion, film maker Ramesh Taurani and companion Ashoke Pandit had been dealing with her paying her hospital expenses after her youngsters turned their backs on her. Her son Raja is a choreographer and her daughter Pooja is an airhostess.
Geeta was betrayed by her kids in May 2017 at the SRV Hospital, Goregaon and was later moved by Ashoke and Ramesh, to the Jeevan Asha Old Age Home keep running by the Society of Helpers of Mary in Andheri West. She had once complained of ill-treatment by her child, including ambush and not giving her nourishment routinely.
Ashoke expressed that in the wake of sitting tight for a year for her kids, she at long last passed away on Saturday. He later added that Geeta needed to see her youngsters one final time yet they never came to visit her. “Her body will be kept at Cooper Hospital, Vile Parle for two days seeking after her youngsters to come and in any event do the last customs. Else, we will do our best to say farewell to her a honorable,” Ashoke Pandit included.
