Lahore: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif chaired a meeting with higher officials of military forces and cabinet members in Islamabad to review the operation Rad-ul-Fasaad. Participants expressed resolve to continue the operation until all set targets are achieved.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Interior minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, PM’s adviser on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz, National Security Advisor Lt. Gen. (Retd) Naseer Khan Janjua and Director General (DG) ISI Lt. Gen. Naveed Mukhtar attended the meeting.
The senior civil and military officials agreed to continue the operation against terrorists and extremists with the “fullest might of the state;” all expressed their aim to improve peace and security condition of the country.
“Pakistan had given immense sacrifices in war against terrorism and we had faced the huge loss which cannot be repented”. Prime Minister added, “We are fully determined to remain devoted in our commitment and duty to take all steps to eradicate extremists without discrimination of region, color or sect.”
He said that with joint efforts of all evil scourge of terrorism could be eliminated and the immensly supportive attitude of people against terrorism is our guarantee to win the war.
Participants said that national integration and support were imperative for implementation of anti-terrorism strategy.
