No more terrorist network active in Pakistan:PM

WASHINGTON: Radio Pakistan had reported that Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Shareef has said that the network of the terrorists present inside the Pakistan has been destroyed completely.

While addressing in the Washington to the Pakistani American community during his four days visit to the country on the invitation of the President barrack Obama, the Prime Minister said that the country’s resolve to root out the terrorism completely.

During the Speech the prime minister have highlighted, “socio-economic development programmes under way in Pakistan, including the Rs341 billion Kissan Package, the joint Pak-China Gwadar port initiative and Pak-Russia cooperation on the North-South gas pipeline.”

Prime Minister Nawaz Shareef has said that, “the addition of 3,600 megawatts of electricity to the national grid by 2017 would allow the country to overcome the energy crisis.”

He added that, “Pakistan’s budget deficit had been reduced from 8.8 per cent to 5.3pc, and that the stock market had picked up.”

Prime Minister Nawaz Shareef has also called for all the stake holders to join the hands with Pakistan for its development and the progress.

The Prime Minister was presented with a guard of honor by a contingent of the United States armed forces upon his arrival in the Washington.

He was also greeted by the Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Jalil Abbas Jilani, Paksitan’s representative at the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi and the Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz.

Prime Minister was also accompanied with his wife Kulsoom Nawaz, his daughter Maryam Nawaz, the interior minister of Pakistan Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, and the Prime Ministers special Assistant on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi.

During the visit to the United States, Prime Minister is expected to meet the President of United States Barack Obama, Vice president Joe Biden, United States secretary of State John Kerry and other various cabinet members.

He will also attend an event organized by the Business council of the Pakistan and Unites States in the Washington and will also address the United States Institute of the Peace.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Shareef said that, “resolution of Kashmir dispute is vital for peace in South Asia.” He also said that, “India’s response to efforts for peace has not been encouraging.”

Prime Minister added that, “ the operation Zarb e Azab against the terrorists produced tremendous results and has broken the backbone of the terrorists and destroyed their Sanctuaries.”

He also paid the tribute to the sacrifices of the law enforcing agencies and Pakistan army. He also addressed the community about the efforts of government to meet the power shortfall in the country. He had also ensured and expressed the hope that the load shedding in the country would be ended by the end of the year 2018 after the completion of power projects which have been started.
