The children of former premier Nawaz Sharif – Hassan, Hussain and Maryam Nawaz – and his son-in-law have challenged the Panama case verdict on Friday.
Two separate petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court in which it is said that the JIT investigation is incomplete and there are flaws in the Apex Court’s verdict, hence, the July 28 verdict should be declared void.
According to details, the children of Nawaz Sharif and his son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar have filed two petitions which claimed that the JIT report is not up to the mark to file any reference as the court became complainant itself. Three judges conducted hearing on the case and five judges were not authorized to announce verdict on the case.
It is to be noted that on August 15, Nawaz Sharif had filed three review petitions against the Supreme Court verdict in Panama case which disqualified him.
