Islamabad: In Monday’s hearing of Panama Case, Sharif family lawyer Salman Akram Raja said that Nawaz Sharif has no connection with London flats.
The five-member apex bench of the Supreme Court was hearing set of petitions filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jamat-e-Islami (JI) and Awami Muslim League (AML), seeking disqualification of Prime Minister. The bench was presided by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa.
Salman Akram Raja said that it is being said that Nawaz Sharif is beneficial owner of London flats whereas the beneficial owner of flats is prime minister’s son Hussain Nawaz. Justice Ijaz Afzal asked Raja to prove his statement.
NAB, today, also submitted reference file of Dar including his pardon statement in the Supreme Court. Shahid Hamid, lawyer to Ishaq Dar also informed the court that his client had submitted a pardon request in 2000 which was also approved by Chairman NAB. He also said that time had expired to appeal against earlier prosecution of the court.
Justice Khosa remrked on the issue of time that after the ending of argumentation Prosecutor General will be questioned about it.
Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan also remarked that Ishaq Dar cannot be disqualified after becoming Approver in the case.
The court was adjourned till Tuesday.
