NAB to launch investigation against KPK Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser

Peshawar: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) will launch investigation against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly’s speaker Asad Qaiser over corruption charges and abuse of authority.  

NAB KPK has sought the permission of Chairman NAB Major Retd. Qamar Zaman Chaudhry to launch inquiry against Speaker KPK Assembly over charges of employing 55 persons in KPK Assembly Secretariat against merit.

NAB also raised question over his current residence and said that his bungalow is worth Rs. 50 million. The accountability bureau also stated he purchased 35 kanals land in Bani Galla, Islamabad and also built bungalow there. NAB declared all the property beyond Qaiser’s income sources.

Further, in another accusation it was also stated that using his power, Qaiser obliged controllers of various Educational Boards to show good results of his school.

NAB also accused Qaiser of awarding contracts illegally to his relatives and he also made several recruitments using illegal procedure in University of Sawabi along with institute’s vice chancellor.
