NAB officer’s residence attacked by unknown assailants in GIlgit Baltistan
Gilgit: National Accountability Bureau official’s house was attacked by unknown persons on Wednesday in the area of Jodial, Gilgit Baltistan.
According to Station House Officer Murtaza Shah, some anonymous person fired shots on the house of NAB’s Deputy Director Coordination Abdul Majid’s on Wednesday morning. The bullets reached the bed of Abdul Majid but he and his family remained safe in the terrific incident.
It is also reported that accused also put one part of house on blaze before fleeing away from the place.
Abdul Majid investigated many high profile corruption scandals and because of his inquiry a provincial secretary and five other public officials had been punished. At present he was also probing major corruption case in Gilgit Baltistan.
Police reached the crime scene and started investigations into the matter; FIR will be registered after preliminary inquiry, says SHO.
