RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has visited Kel sector and forward posts of Sharda, Azad Jammu Kashmir. He met with the military corps at the front line and also thanked people for celebrating Pakistan day, says Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release.
COAS said that India would not be succeeded in its attempt to spread unrest in Azad Jamu & Kashmir (AJ&K).
The propaganda of India regarding the presence of militants along the Line of Control was aimed at spreading disturbances in Azad Jamu & Kashmir (AJ&K), he added.
He also thanked people of AJ&K for celebrating Pakistan Day and said that people are fully aware of Indian violence in the Indian Occupied Kashmir. Gen Bajwa then met with the corps of the front line to raise their moral.
Moreover, Gen. Bajwa was also briefed by General Officer Commanding Murree Major General Azhar Abbas on the LoC situation and ceasefire violations by India. He ensured the coordination of army in the progress and development works in AJ&K and ensured full support of military forces to AJ&K.
Earlier, COAS was received by the Commander Rawalpindi Corps Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza upon arrival.
Meanwhile, Army Chief Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa had also thanked to all those who had participated in “Hum sab ka Pakistan” campaign and made it successful. He also express gratitude to those who had recorded video messages for Pakistan Day campaign.
In a Twitter message, Director General (DG) Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) had said that the Chief of Army had thanked the participants of Pakistan Day ceremony and also thanked media for the full coverage of the event and special programs on National day.
