Mild cold revives, light rainfall hits Punjab

Lahore: Light rain hit several cities of the Punjab on Tuesday including provincial capital Lahore which resulted to revive back cold weather across the province.

Met predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.

Rainfall observed in Lahore, Multan, Kasur, Jhelumm, Toba Tek Singh, Muridke, Okara, Kot Momin and other cities.

The rain lowered down the temperature which left pleasant effect on citizens; temperature was lowered down to 19 degree Celsius in Lahore.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted that the recent wave was affecting upper and central parts of the country and likely to persist till Saturday.

PMD said light rain-thunderstorm is expected for next twenty four hours at scattered places in Quetta, Zhob divisions, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Rawlapindi, Islamabad,  KPK, FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan while dry weather is expected in Sindh and southern Balochistan.

Tuesday’s lowest minimum temperature in various cities were Quetta -05°C, Kalam -04°C, Astore -03°C, Guppis -02°C.
