BBC has released the list of 100 most influential Women, Presidential daughters around the world. Maryam Nawaz has also made her name in the list. Ivanka Trump, the daughter of President Donald Trump ranked first among 100 women.
The list mentions influential women who created names in their countries being the first daughters.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz is also included in the list.
“Originally involved in the family’s charity organisations, Ms Nawaz played a prominent role in managing her father’s successful re-election campaign in 2013,” reads BBC report.
It added: “She now works for his party, the right-wing Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz).”
BBC titled Ivanka, the successful businesswoman “who will not have an official title or salary, is the latest addition to a growing list of high-profile daughters of heads of state around the world,” said BBC.
Turkey’s first daughter, the youngest daughter of Erdogan, Sumeyye Erdogan is also named in top 100 women.
“She currently has a lower profile role with a Turkish women’s rights advocacy group. In addition to her campaigning work Sumeyye continues to be an outspoken supporter of her father and his government,” BBC said.
The list also includes Russian president Vladimir Putin’s daughter Yekaterina who is living in Moscow with the name of Katerina Tikhonova.
“Since then Russians have learned from various media reports that she is married to businessman Kirill Shamalov, the son of one of her father’s old friends, and that the couple are worth an estimated $2bn through investments in the gas and petrochemicals industries,” report reads.
The list also includes Angola’s and Cuba’s first daughters.
