Marijuana to be removed from ‘most dangerous drug’ by DEA

After years high higher than the Drug Enforcement Administration’s list of the most dangerous drugs, marijuana may soon be coming down.

The DEA said it will probably choose in the first quasi of 2016 whether to reclassify cannabis in a group other than Schedule 1, a collection that comprises heroin and is said to have no medical purpose but “potentially severe psychological or physical dependence.”

Nonetheless a Gallup poll from last year shows that 58% of Americans want weed lawful for relaxation use, the drug remains totally prohibited under federal law and officials’ upcoming decision is doubtful to change that.

Though, reclassifying marijuana from Schedule I to Schedule II, which comprises drugs such as cocaine, would make it much easier for scholars to learn about its effects, medical and else.
